I cant get enough of this brilliantly animated version of Tim Minchin’s brilliant beat poem about a dinner conversation of the type all reasonably intelligent people dread.
For the record I agree with all of Tim Minchin’s views on everything.

Cthulhu Concept

A while back a coworker got me an awesome bobblehead of my favorite horror story monstrosity, Cthulhu. It resides over my desk and watches my daily activities.
Here he is….

I decided to do a concept art piece based on it for my portfolio.
I tried to follow the official descriptions of him and yet make him seem somewhat biologically convincing.

Cthulhu is an ancient monstrosity from beyond the stars who sleeps beneath the ocean and whose mere dreaming causes all the nightmares of humanity. When he wakes up, things will not go well.

I am blown away by this group…. or band… or project… or cult…. or whatever it is. This completely mysterious art/music/video project, made by mysterious people, for mysterious reasons has gained a cult following over the last year. The videos and music are beautiful, and slightly disturbing, kind of like Nine Inch Nails meets meets The Knife, with haunting female vocals and the visual style of The Ring.

Here is the entire chain of released videos telling a mysterious story, and seemingly resulting in the ultimate ritual sacrifice of a devoted fan….
